26-1326: Dedicates a City-owned parcel of land as Public Right-of-Way as Public Alley, bounded by East 7th Avenue, North Grant Street, East 6th Avenue, and North Sherman Street, in Council District 7.
Description
Dedicates a City-owned parcel of land as Public Right-of-Way as Public Alley, bounded by East 7th Avenue, North Grant Street, East 6th Avenue, and North Sherman Street, in Council District 7.
Summary
Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure requested a City Council resolution to formally lay out, open, and establish a City-owned parcel as public right-of-way, specifically a public alley. The approximately 550-square-foot parcel is the east two feet of Lots 1–11 in Block 25 of Arlington Heights Addition and is bounded by East 6th and 7th avenues and North Grant and Sherman streets. The dedication supports the Avalon Governor’s Park apartment development at 200 East 7th Avenue, following demolition of existing structures and a parking garage. The City received the land by deed for this purpose. The action would place the property under the City’s public thoroughfare system and affect nearby residents, property owners, and alley users in Council District 7.
