Approves a Funding and Assignment Agreement between the City and County of Denver and The Colorado Museum of Natural History d/b/a the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS) for $3,000,000.00 with an end date of 12-31-2031 to provide Vibrant Denver Bond proceeds to update life safety systems, including fire alarm and fire suppression, and repair and replace aged HVAC equipment throughout the Museum, in Council District 9 (FINAN-202684504).

Summary

Denver’s Parks, Arts & Culture Committee is considering four measures funded through the voter-approved Vibrant Denver bond program. Bill 26-1258 would authorize up to $4.73 million through 2030 for architectural and engineering services to expand and renovate Red Rocks Amphitheatre’s backstage facilities, improve ADA access, and update performer, staff, kitchen, technology, and operational spaces.
