Toledo is considering local landmark designation for Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 509 Oswald Street. The City of Toledo is the applicant, and the Toledo Catholic Diocese owns the 1.8-acre property. Built between 1900 and 1906, the church is a German Gothic Romanesque structure featuring Sandusky limestone, copper towers and domes, and Munich-imported stained glass depicting the life of Christ.
