San Jose resumes update of land-use outreach rules

San Jose is resuming work to update its public-outreach rules for pending land-use and development projects. Staff will gather input from residents, developers, neighborhood groups and City departments, with a focus on people who face language, disability, work-schedule or other participation barriers. Outreach runs through January 2027, revisions are planned for January through March, and hearings are scheduled at the Planning Commission in May 2027 and City Council in June 2027. Staff expects to complete the current plan with existing resources and no added budget.
