Apple campus agreement would change land and close two North San Jose streets

San Jose plans to amend its development agreement with Apple for an approximately 86-acre North San Jose campus. The change would remove a 9.7-acre parcel planned for conveyance to PG&E and allow conditional vacation of Orchard Place and part of Orchard Parkway, while preserving Apple's ability to develop about 4.15 million square feet. Apple would fund separated bike lanes on Component Drive, contribute $90,000 to transit signal improvements and provide at least $2.5 million for a Guadalupe River Trail crossing. The council is scheduled to consider the amendment on Nov. 10, 2026; the Planning Commission recommended approval.
