Council directs more flood-risk planning with Valley Water
San José and Valley Water will return to the City Council with more analysis of flood-risk hot spots, long-term flood-reduction strategies and options for dividing responsibilities between the agencies. The council directed staff to coordinate with Valley Water on the work in an 11-0 vote during the Oct. 13 joint meeting. Updates on Anderson Dam’s seismic retrofit and the Coyote Creek flood-protection project were deferred to the next joint meeting, with no action taken.
