City proposes $400,000 settlement over police vehicle collision

San Jose plans to pay $400,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by Chin-Chin Kao and Ping Kao Tang over a 2023 collision involving a city police vehicle and a pedestrian. The payment would come from the city's liability claims reserve, with each side covering its own costs and attorneys' fees.
