Oakland recognizes Oct. 20, 2026, as Love Life Week

Oakland will recognize Oct. 20, 2026, as Love Life Week, honoring the city motto and community efforts to value life and prevent violence. The week will include community events focused on arts, honoring people who spread love and helping stop violence. The City Council passed the measure 8-0, and the Rules & Legislation Committee scheduled it for Oct. 8.
