Summary
The Metropolitan Planning Commission recommended that the Metro Council approve Planning Commission Mandatory Referral 2026M-071ES-001 for the Centennial Sportsplex development in Council District 21. The request would abandon about 312 feet of existing six-inch water main, a fire hydrant assembly, and related easements, while accepting approximately 587 feet of new six-inch ductile iron water main, a hydrant assembly, and easements. Metro agencies, including Water Services, Parks, Transportation, Emergency Communications, General Services, Nashville Electric Service, and the Historical Commission, reviewed and supported the proposal. Metro Council approval is required before the changes take effect; no conditions were attached.
