An ordinance granting a franchise to Vero Fiber Networks, LLC, to construct, operate, and maintain a fiber optic communications system within Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County under the provisions of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, Title 6, Chapter 26 (Proposal No. 2026M-049AG-001).

Summary

The agreement would grant Vero Fiber Networks, LLC a nonexclusive 15-year franchise to build, operate, and maintain a fiber-optic network in Nashville and Davidson County public rights-of-way. The authorization covers broadband and other FCC-classified information services, but not cable or video services, which would require a separate franchise. Vero must obtain permits, follow Metro construction and excavation rules, submit plans and as-built drawings, and relocate facilities when required for public projects, generally at its expense.
