Description

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing easement rights in the former right-of-way, for property located at 1313 53rd Avenue North (Proposal No. 2026M-063ES-001).

Summary

The Metropolitan Planning Commission recommends that the Metropolitan Council approve abandoning easement rights over a 30-foot portion of the former 53rd Avenue North right-of-way between Louisiana Avenue and former Alley 1208, near 1313 53rd Avenue, in Council District 20. The roadway was previously closed under Metro Ordinance O80-348, but certain easements were retained. This request would remove those remaining rights for the specified parcel. Metro agencies—including transportation, water, parks, emergency communications, utilities, property, and historical authorities—reviewed and support the proposal. No conditions apply. The abandonment will not take effect unless approved by the Metro Council.
