Jacksonville proposes $150,000 settlement with Fire and Rescue engineer

Jacksonville would pay Fire and Rescue engineer Paul Stefanko $150,000 to settle his federal lawsuit over a requested accommodation for a promotion exam. The city would move the money from operating reserves to its judgments, claims and losses account, and the settlement would resolve his claims without an admission of wrongdoing. City Council approval is required.
