$150,000 proposed for Goodwill youth internships through January

Jacksonville proposes restoring $150,000 in General Fund reserves for Goodwill Industries of North Florida’s Summer Youth Works Program and extending the grant through Jan. 31, 2027. Goodwill would provide paid, eight-week internships and job training for 50 Duval County residents ages 16 to 24. The council member requests emergency passage; the source does not include a vote.
