Council proposal would clear pet nonprofit from grant non-compliance list
Jacksonville City Council is being asked to forgive First Coast No More Homeless Pets’ missed audit-reporting requirements from a 2006-07 city grant and let the Council Auditor remove the nonprofit from the Chapter 118 non-compliance list. The nonprofit received $215,000 for spay and neutering services for pets of low-income owners. The proposal would also require the Finance Department’s grants compliance division to coordinate with the auditor; no vote or approval is provided in the source.
