49.59 acres near Kraft Road approved for heavy industrial use

Jacksonville is set to change the land-use designation for about 49.59 acres at 0 Kraft Road in Council District 2 from Light Industrial to Heavy Industrial. Eastport Jacksonville Property Owner LLC owns the property, and attorney Steve Diebenow applied for the change. The City Council has adopted the amendment, which takes effect 31 days after adoption if it is not challenged; a challenge would delay it until state review is complete. The change does not replace other required permits or approvals.
