Council approves citywide land-use and growth planning update

Columbus City Council approved a planning update that guides land use, development and public engagement across the city. The plan includes growth analysis, land-use planning, capital-improvement coordination and neighborhood development guidance, with specific attention to Downtown, the Far East and the Arena District. Council approved it unanimously, 9-0, on Oct. 19, 2026.
