Columbus approves sole-source Flygt pump parts contract through 2028

Columbus approved a sole-source contract with Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc. for genuine Flygt pump parts and authorized Flygt pump services through Nov. 30, 2028. Xylem says it is the original equipment manufacturer and the only source for parts certified to work with the city's existing Flygt equipment. Council approved the contract Oct. 19 on a 9-0 vote.

To authorize the Finance and Management Director to enter into a Universal Term Contract for the option to purchase Flygt Pump Parts and Services with Xylem Water Solutions U.S.A., Inc in accordance with the sole source provisions of the Columbus City Code; to authorize the expenditure of $1.00; and to declare an emergency.
