Summary

The City of Annapolis Department of Planning and Zoning provided the Mayor and City Council with its required monthly update under Ordinance O-40-25. As of August 14, 2026, the city had 280 licensed short-term rentals. An additional 59 rentals were registered for limited use during U.S. Naval Academy commencement, boat shows, or other special events. The department reported eight new enforcement actions in July 2026 and 53 ongoing actions against operators allegedly conducting short-term rentals without a license.
