Summary

The Department of Planning and Zoning reported to the Mayor and City Council on short-term rentals, as required by Ordinance O-40-25. As of July 22, 2026, Annapolis had 304 licensed short-term rentals and 36 additional rentals registered exclusively for the U.S. Naval Academy commencement, boat shows, and other special events. The department also reported two new enforcement actions in June 2026. The update provides the public and city officials with current information about regulated rental activity and enforcement of the city’s short-term-rental requirements.
