Summary

The Ann Arbor Historic District Commission met August 13, 2026, in a hybrid public meeting with six of seven commissioners present. The commission approved, 6-0, certificates of appropriateness for two Old West Side Historic District projects: modifications to the historic house at 717 W. Liberty Street, including a rear dormer and enlarged basement window, plus construction of a new two-family house; and a replacement rear deck at 202 S. Seventh Street. Both were found compatible with historic-preservation standards and city design guidelines. A telecommunications antenna proposal at 201 S. Main Street was heard but deferred because the application was incomplete. July meeting minutes were approved and sent to City Council.
